The miracle of each day. It never ceases to surprise and amaze.

Every once in a while, sit down and make a list of people who have touched your Life and made a difference to you. Quietly, thank them…deeply…from the bottom of your heart. Watch yourself breaking down and crying like a baby. This is the surest way to humble yourself. And to realize just how much you owe the Universe in return for who you are, what you are and where you are today!

Companionship is a celebration of being together. It transcends the immediate physical attraction that two people experience when they first meet. It is all about their nurturing a core idea: what do the two people in the relationship want out of Life – together?

There is magic, beauty, romance and poetry waiting for you every step of the way. Life is waiting for you, with open arms. But where are you? You are not present here, in the now. Perhaps you are trapped in the past – thinking about what could have been. Or you have raced into the unborn future – busy worrying about what has not yet happened. Remember: this moment is the only Life you have! Unless you are present in the moment, you cannot celebrate Life.

Until a great awakening moment comes, we lead our lives in utter ignorance. We agonize over our existence and circumstances. We refuse to see what we can do to make this world a better place.The ‘what’s-in-it-for-me’ assessment is always louder compared to‘what/how-can-I-contribute?’. And then the moment comes. And we start living a Life of Purpose – selflessly. That’s when – and how – we discover true Happiness!

No matter what, Life has to be lived through. Every facet of Life has to be experienced. And pain is non-negotiable. The art of living is truly the art of co-living with pain. Doing this daily, continuously, living in a non-complaining way, you learn the art of being happy despite your circumstances.

Watching indelible ink (what they use to denote you voted during elections in India) fade/peel off from your finger, albeit slowly, is fascinating. It is a gentle reminder that everything is, after all, impermanent. Nothing lasts forever!

We admire some people for their personal courage. For sticking their neck out and for overcoming the odds. The truth is that no one is more courageous than another. If you took charge of your Life and did what’s right for you, and stood by you what you believe in, than settling for what’s easy, that would be an act of personal courage. Important, it is through being courageous that you unlock the secret to Happiness!

If you are feeling lost in Life, celebrate. Because only when you are lost, can you find your true Self and discover true Happiness!
