Remember that peace of mind does not come from the state of affairs, nor does it come from detachment from anything around us. Peace of mind is within. An immovable ocean.

I am okay with the imperfection of my own story. We are alive thanks to our imperfect stories and we need to be okay with that. Straight lines have never led the way to colourful pictures. I am okay with all that I feel, with all the pieces of me; and so should you. Every part of my story has the potential to connect with another soul out there, and so does yours.

People who say they want peace, should know how to be peaceful. You'll hear these people talk about wanting peace as if other people, and the world, owe it to them. No, because peace is a gift you give to yourself, to other people, and to the world. The only way you'll ever have peace, is by gifting it.

Peace may be explained by means of the ocean. Things may float in the ocean, winds may blow the ocean, earth may shake the ocean, but the ocean remains. The ocean does not retreat or shrink and it does not hide. But it remains. This is what inner peace is, within you and within me.
