Worldly life increases with artadhyan (mournful contemplation that hurts the self) and raudradhyan (wrathful contemplation hurting the self and others), and worldly life decreases with dharmadhyan (auspicious contemplation, not to give pain to others, giving happiness to others). There is liberation with shukladhyan (contemplation as the Self, The Pure Soul).

That which does not affect or obstruct anyone is called the Self. It does not obstruct even ignorance! Ignorance obstructs It, It does not obstruct ignorance! This fact about the absolute Self (Parmatma) is as clear as light, isn't it!

With true understanding, intoxication (that “I Know”, “I am something”) will come down. Intoxication will not come down with wrong understanding.

The understanding that gives rise to intoxication (that “I Know”, “I am something”); that is not the talks of the enlightened one’s (Vitarags).

Two lines, a line of knowledge and a line of action, run separately. But if you mix tea and buttermilk, it becomes unsavory. In the same way, in those people who live in illusory vision & do not have Self-realization (agnani), these two lines of Knowledge and action have become one and that is why they have been in a disturbed state.

What is the violent intent (bhaav-hinsa)? Violence (hinsa) against your real Self through anger-pride-deceit-greed; meaning anger-pride-deceit-greed that causes bondage to your Self, therefore first have pity on your self. First you need non-violent intent (bhaav-ahinsa) for your own Self and then for others.

The Soul can be worshipped only after attaining the Soul (Realization of the Self). Worship removes the veils of ignorance (avaran) and one can see more. It all depends on whose worship one is doing. By worshiping the one who has attained the Soul (the enlightened one), namely the Gnani Purush, one can attain the Soul (realize the self).

Renounce (tyaag) if it is in your prakruti (inherent nature). Do penance (tapa) if it is in your prakruti. Chant (japa) if it is in your prakruti. But except for the attainment of the Self, everything else is a waste.

One has proceeded according to people’s understanding therefore he is bound (to the worldly life). The one who proceeds according to Gnani’s understanding; he is free.
