I'm proud of these kids. I'm proud of these coaches. High school football in Texas is unbelievable.

When you're a football player at the University of Texas and you're playing in the national championship game the players understand the scrutiny is going to be a little more than usual. I think we'll handle it.

Next year's team hasn't won a game. There's not going to be another Vince Young. We can win football games at Texas because we won them before Vince got here, and we'll win them afterwards.

I'd just like to say, look at the year. Vince Young is a great football player and to me, the most valuable player on our football team for sure, and on any team in the country.

Most players don't mind drug testing once they realize they don't have to study for it.

It's been a fun year so far. We just want to keep it going. One thing I've learned at Texas, we've been playing football for 112 years and there were expectations 112 years ago. It hasn't changed.

You have a day and a half-life with this football team. This has been a fun ride with these kids, starting with last season's Rose Bowl.

It was a great football game. It's surreal sitting there in the fourth quarter and you're down by two scores and you still think you're going to win. But we never, ever thought we would lose the ballgame.
