Life is always better with beer.

A lot of religions involve the external, whereas meditation deals with the internal. It is like taking a dirty car through a car wash. The car will come out clean and shiny on the outside, but the inside will remain dirty, in some cases filthy. With meditation, the car is cleaned from the inside first, and then the outside will be cleaned, often by nature, using the car in the rain.

Sometimes I feel someone is playing with my life. But then I realize it’s probably just me, playing with myself.

Find something, that when you are doing it you don’t feel you should be doing something else, and do that.

It takes a certain amount of intelligence, and bravery, to live your life without someone constantly telling you how to live it.

The Universe is like a flowing river, and you are connected to it. It’s pointless to worry about which of the endless branches in the river to take, or to try and fight the flow, far better just to drift and let the river take you where it will, because ultimately you will end up at the same destination anyway.

Look back on your life and think about what caused you stress, unhappiness, embarrassment, and humiliation. It is unlikely you will find it was the Earth, the ocean, nature, the mountains, the plants, the animals, the wind, the rain, the snow, or the sun. It is likely you will find it was people, always the people, and the systems they created, such as work, money, laws, marriage, politics, and religion.

Every time I think I am out of the woods, I am back in the fire.

The key is, in that moment of time, to be completely there, if not, you will be left behind, with regret, and forever wondering.
