Therefore, association should be with a truly (enlightened) person, a spiritually elevated person. And if there is association with bad people, then evil thoughts will arise.

What does 'community service' mean? It destroys 'my' (sense of attachment for specific things, especially oneself) for the most part. If 'my' were to be destroyed completely, then One (the awakened Self, potey) is indeed the absolute Self (parmatma)! Then for Him, bliss will definitely prevail, will it not!

It is only when the 'sense of doership' (kartabhaav) leaves that the attentive awareness of 'I am pure Soul' sets in.

When one realizes that, 'The Soul is a non-doer,' then one is considered as having attained the right belief of 'I am pure Soul' (samkit).

As long as one has the awareness that, 'I am the doer,' he has not realized even one fraction of the Self (Atma). The awareness that, 'I am the doer of any of the things,' will not help one to realize the Self.

In the state of Gnan (Knowledge of the Self), the Atma (Self) is the non-doer (akarta), in the state of ignorance of the Self, Atma (Self) is the doer (karta).

Whatever is being done, without realization of the Self is nothing but a loss indeed!
