We had a pitch count and we felt Eddie was getting a little tired there. I think he walked three batters in the fourth inning. We thought it was a good place to pull him. We had the top of their order coming up for the third time. Jeremy was ready. Eddie threw strikes all day. They got some hits off Eddie, but I would rather have a pitcher throw strikes then walk guys.

When you give up 14 runs, that's very disappointing. We had five or six errors, a couple hit batters and plays we didn't make.

We got some big hits against a pitcher like that he was on. Everything he threw was from the knees to the lower thigh. Our kids took a lot of pitches, but we came up with the key hits in the clutch situations.

Offensively we came alive. All our guys produced tonight. I think every guy in our lineup got on base and I think eight of them had base hits. A lot of extra base hits tonight good to see that. A couple home runs, those are good to see.

I told our guys we've grown up a lot this week. We've got five games in and we've seen a lot of positives. Offensively we've got a lot of guys swinging the bat well. Defensively, other than last night (at Benjamin Logan) we played very good for four out of our five games.

Eddie came out focused and ready to play. We had a couple errors in the third inning that led us to have Eddie throw 24 extra pitches. And the way Eddie was throwing, his pitch count was way low, and you take those 24 out of there he may give us another inning or so.

That might be the key defense play of the game, because if that ball drops with first and second, the next kid got a hit and that would have loaded the bases with nobody out. That's a big clutch play for Nate and fortunately for us he made the play.
