Evil travels—like all energy, it transfers between people and objects; it moves, gets stored, moves again. But where did it originate? When Eve ate the apple? Or before that, with Satan, that fallen seraph who took the form of a snake and whispered with slithering tongue into her ear? Did she birth it or was it thrust upon us by some insufflating malefic serpent? Is it man-made or a supernatural force?

God’s love is unconditional love. Love despite our faults. Lucky for us, we’re bad.

All of us are bad. Every one of us is far, far from perfect.

There is no good without bad. No love without hate. If God wanted us to be perfect, incapable of sin, He would have made Adam perfect, incapable of sin, not with a rib that would eventually turn into a helpmeet capable of sin.

People have demons. And those demons have a meaning specific to that person. Sins, addictions, other failures and assorted traumas… sources of torment bodied forth.
