Fear is the absence of Faith. Fear and Faith cannot co-exist. And when you are not in Fear, when you have Faith and trust the process of Life, then you won’t even need to lean on a crutch called God.

Religion is a human invention. It is a device with which a few people control the masses, employing fear and divisiveness. Allowing ourselves to be divided on the lines of religion is being outright stupid. Because judging and alienating – hating – another human being causes, above all, your own suffering.

Prayer, especially when you have lost everything – including hope, is simple. Just surrender to the Higher Energy that governs all of creation. No questions to ask. No grants to seek. You truly don’t know what to do. So, you surrender. Offering yourself to be led, willing to go where Life takes you, to wherever you must arrive. Such unconditional prayer, in complete surrender, is Bliss!

We have been conditioned to believe that prayer is all about asking a God for some thing. But what if you have nothing to ask for? What if you treat prayer as a way of being thankful to Life, for the gift of this human form, of this lifetime? What if, in prayer, you offer yourself up to divinity, as a humble, willing instrument, for Life to work through you? Try praying this way – you will find it healing, magical, beautiful and transformational!

Each of us is a kaaranakartha...a conduit, a catalyst, an instrument…and so we only have one role...to be better instruments for divinity to work through us! And we can do that by working humbly, meaningfully, on whatever gives us unadulterated joy and by sharing all that we receive, thereby helping people around us to grow.
