Even though the world hails Joan of Arc as some sort of hero, which she undoubtedly was, what pains me the most is that her pathological condition ultimately led to her demise at the age of only nineteen.

Pathology can indeed cause experiences of the Kingdom of God, but not all God experiences are caused by pathology.

Some people like baseball, some soccer and some others like no sports at all. Their psychological orientation with sports doesn't make them any less or more human. The same is with religious orientation. The true Kingdom of God is within you, and it is defined by your behavior with other people, regardless of their religious affiliation. You are the God of your life, and your divinity lies in your actions.

The kingdom of God is within the Self, for there is no God besides the Self.

God, deities and prophets thrive on obscurity, and it does not necessarily have to be material obscurity, often it is intellectual, as well as spiritual obscurity. When humanity is bold, intellectual, spiritual and conscientious enough, it will become its own strength - it will become its own solace - it will become its own savior.

I am an advocate of godliness, not of god.

Forget organized religions. Forget scriptures. Forget Gods, Fathers, Sons and Spirits. Forget all dogmas taught by the representatives of theoretical religion, and then only you shall be able to visualize the true core of religion.

God heals as well as God kills.

The problem is not religion or God. The actual problem is authoritarianism, mixed with the desire to angrily impose one’s personal apparently idealistic beliefs on others.
