After a man had become very wealthy he discovered he did not find the happiness he was looking for. When asked why, Wealth replied: 'I am so sorry I thought you knew. I do not have the power to create virtues or vices. All I do is enhance whatever you bring here. When you invite me into your life, I help you become more of you - good or bad. He had great ideas for change but was too busy with other things to pursue them. He postulated. He pontificated. He spoke glowingly of a great future for all. But he never actioned his words. He said that someday things would be better. But he never found one wrong thing that he could correct. He died unsung and left the society worst than he met it. It was a tragedy.

Lord, I am too insignificant in your vast universe.' 'You are wrong, son. The universe exists for you. Were you to be the only human, I would still have created the universe just for you.' 'But...' 'But what? Can't you see how significant you are? The universe never argues with me; but you do.

Let's get this straight: we all can win. Because winning is not a function of circumstances of birth. Nor is it a lucky dip, that places success within the reach of the poor and the unlucky. Whoever has doubts about his ability to succeed doubts God's ability to help him harness his limitless potentials. Any more doubters?

Check your attitude. Raise the bar. Beat your best efforts. You have much more in you than you are willing to admit.

I am sorry. Genuinely uttered, that three-word statement, has saved many relationships that were on the the brink of collapse and has strengthened many more.

People have asked me why I maintain a positive mental attitude and a positive self-talk, even in the face of utter despair. It is simple. I am always certain that the devil thinks and talks ill of me all the time, and I do not intend to become a second witness by thinking and speaking ill of myself. You know: 'out of the mouths of two or three witnesses shall a matter be established.

Happiness is not what you struggle for. It is that serenity you have on the inside of you that you try to live out. Those who define what will make them happy have created an illusion. By the time they reach their destination they will discover there is nothing there after all. The truth is: Happiness is not in a thing, person or situation. It is a choice.

When I have reached the limits of my ability, when my expectations have been exhausted, when my eyes can no longer see beyond the cloud, then, GRACE shows up. Grace pushes me beyond my ability, raises my expectations beyond the envelope, and sharpens my eyes to see farther. Grace is a favour beyond what I merit, a help I couldn't have asked for, a strength I did not possess. Where would I be without God's Grace? I don't even want to think about it.
