A mistake is only a mistake if you dwell on it. Let go and forgive.

When we accept things it does not necessarily mean we condone them. Acceptance provides us with a choice of what we want to emotionally attach to, what we are prepared to be involved with and do something about.

When seeking forgiveness, remember, that forgiveness includes change. Don't just ask for forgiveness because you are sorry. Ask because you are willing to put the time and effort in to change.

We can't measure intent by outcome. Only each individual knows their true intent, and if they don't or can't communicate that, we may in some cases never know what their intent was. Being more patient, kind, forgiving gives everyone a bit more grace. Even in the case of ill-intent, we still want to rise above that behavior by not acting, reacting, in the same manner as the person who we were hurt by.

People are fallible. People make mistakes. No one is impervious to mistakes. When we learn to be more forgiving of ourselves we will feel better about ourselves. We liberate ourselves from that internal conflict. This will lead to us also being more forgiving of others. We won’t be deflecting what is going on inside of ourselves on to others. We can be more forgiving of others.

You deserve your own respect, compassion, forgiveness, care, and love before you give any of those away to others. This is not selfish! It's basic self-care!

We can't blame people for not knowing what they don't know.
