When making changes, having a partner can be a great motivator and provide tremendous support. Try and find someone who is also trying to do what you are trying to do. Find ways to support, help, encourage and cheer each other on.

A loyal friend believes in you even when you don't. Borrow courage from a friend when you need it. Find and surround yourself with people who are true.

Talk to people you don’t like. Share differing opinions. You don’t have to agree with everything a person is or does in order to be friends with them. You might be surprised. You might end up really liking someone you never thought you would like, just by giving them and yourself a chance. Don’t be so quick to write people off!

Make time for those who make time for you. Treasure those who care enough to invest their time and energy. Friendship is for giving.
