Most people in the modern world are making their lives miserable not because they have no food, but because they eat excessively. The same goes for wealth. We must know how much wealth is needed to live a decent life and be happy.

Instead of expecting an ideal world, we must learn to live in the real world. Instead of making our life miserable for the sake of others, we must learn to make our own lives joyful. We can give only what we have. If we are unhappy, we can’t make others happy. When we have no love in our heart, we can’t love anyone. You can’t gift wealth to anyone unless you earn it yourself.

Fictions often represent only half truths. They show the right problem but often the wrong solution. Hence when people imitate the fictional characters of the movies, they end up making their lives more miserable. When a tipping point is reached in a society as more and more people start following such paths, these actions become acceptable to a large section of the society. Thereafter, it becomes impossible to reverse the cycle.

If you decide to follow all laws of your country and society, you will end up making yourself miserable like a slave owned by several thousand masters.

Most people lead miserable lives because in their attempt to win the rat race, they try to excel in the area for which they don’t have the potential. Hence, they fail not only in achieving success, but end up making their lives miserable as well.
