We are all rational in our own eyes. We are irrational only from the perspective of another person whose concept of rationality is different from ours.

We don’t see the world as it is. We see the world as we believe it to be. Our perception is a product of our belief and not our rational thinking.

It is important to have faith in life to connect to the fellow human beings as much as we need rational mind to understand the material world. It is unwise to drop all faiths just because faiths have been misused by some ignorant people. We have to see the positive impact of faiths and beliefs in the society and in the life of billions of people who are believers. Only by balancing our rational and faithful mind, we can find perfect life in this world.

It is difficult to understand human beings as rational beings because even our rational mind is guided by our emotions. Emotions are the product of our beliefs which are based on faith without much logic and reason behind them.

While it is true that religious beliefs are often a source of conflict but the so-called rational thoughts are no better. The two World Wars, which killed more than 75 million people were not fought on the ground of religion but on the basis of so called rational thoughts like freedom, communism, nationalism, fascism or Nazism.

An atheist is essentially a person who believes in a rational world that works on the basis of certain natural laws without any interference from any `Supreme Being` or God.
