Knowing the world means having first-hand knowledge about it, which in turn means understanding ‘why the world is what it is’ and ‘why people are what they are’?

It is important for us to develop the ability to differentiate between truth and fiction to escape from the darkness of ignorance and be in the light of understanding. Only when we know the truth as it is, we can be free from the illusions of life.

The world is not going to change according to our worldview. You have the option of wasting your life by cursing the world, or enjoying it by understanding and accepting it as it is.

Once you develop the habit of forgiving, you would soon find that you do not feel hurt anymore because the same understanding which helps you forgive, helps you in not getting hurt in the first place.

Every person who is satisfied, content and happy thinks his understanding of happiness is truest because that is what he is experiencing. So, a virtuous person would subscribe his happiness to his virtuous deeds while an evil person would subscribe his happiness to his vices. Since a corrupt person has never lived a virtuous life, he will possibly never know the euphoria one derives from doing good deeds.
