Instead of expecting an ideal world, we must learn to live in the real world. Instead of making our life miserable for the sake of others, we must learn to make our own lives joyful. We can give only what we have. If we are unhappy, we can’t make others happy. When we have no love in our heart, we can’t love anyone. You can’t gift wealth to anyone unless you earn it yourself.

We can’t claim others to be unhappy if they are following a different path from us just because we are happy walking down our chosen path. We also can’t claim others to be happy if they are following a different path from us, because we are unhappy with our path.

Who can make you unhappy, if you have developed the ability to enjoy even difficult and uninteresting jobs?

As most people are unhappy in the world, they find the grass to be greener on the other side of the fence, without knowing that possibly the person on the other side of the fence is looking at them, and the grass on their side, with the same feelings.

Most people don’t really know what they want and why they want something. Hence, everything seems desirable. As they can never achieve everything, they remain unhappy throughout their lives.

Most people are unhappy since they fail to get what they want in life. However, even when they actually get what they want, their happiness is short-lived because very soon they raise the bar to a higher level and again start struggling to achieve the next level. Their happiness level thus comes back to the original level as before.
