Let us wage a moral and political war against war itself, so that we can cut military spending and use that money for human needs.

Social security is the most successful government program in our nation's history. We are not going to cut social security! We are going to expand social security!

The United States has more people living in poverty than at almost any time in the modern history of our country. I believe that in a democratic, civilized society none of our people should be hungry or living in desperation. We need to expand Social Security, not cut it.
