Anything that's shiny, shines due to its reflective quality. Reflection. People usually think that you are shiny because you are shiny. But what does it actually mean? It means that you reflect back to others the beauty in themselves and the love and care that they give to you. It's never actually about you. It's actually about everyone else. Your capability to reflect determines how luminous you are.

Someone asked me, "Are there no good men where you are?" And I answered, "I think there are good men everywhere. It's never about finding good people; it's about finding one person.

We need to be looking for the seed of life in another person, and letting the presence or the absence of it determine whom we step closer towards and whom we back away from. The seed of life. You can feel it in the middle of your chest, connecting to the middle of their chest, it tells you there is life for you waiting on the path with them. And when it's not there, there is no path of life for you together, let go of them and turn elsewhere.

It's funny. We meet hundreds of people. We stop to remember them sometimes and they're so far away and we're not a part of them anymore. Makes you realise how important it is to be a part of someone. And stay that way with them. And we have visions of going out into the open world and treating it as our oyster... but it takes a small, mindful moment to make us realise that doesn't really mean anything when you don't have someone to call home.

We become so focused on the individual events and circumstances of our lives, so eager to label them as "good" or "bad", when in fact, everything is just LIFE! Everything, all of it, it's all just LIFE.

I have, for a long time now, been responsible for advisiving people to "let it go". I have since discovered that there are things that cannot be let go of, and in such cases, you must "let it flow". So let it be known, that I am saying, "let it flow". See where the river leads!

We are born with eyes not just to see beauty; but to find it. We are born with hands not just to hold beauty; but to create it. Don't just sit there. Find and create. In others, in the world, in yourself.

Love a person who is quite unloved, rather than a person who is very much loved. People who feel unloved treat it as a luxury, a hidden treasure, a gem. People who felt loved all their lives treat it as a birthright, an entitlement, a necessary materiality. Give water to the thirsty, they know what water should taste like.

It's a pity... to wait for a person to decide that she doesn't need anyone. There is nothing more frightening than someone who doesn't need anybody. Nobody is born that way; but then people make it so.
