They Open A Door And Enter A World

Knock and it shall be opened.' But does knocking mean hammering and kicking the door like a maniac?

It is quite useless knocking at the door of heaven for earthly comfort. It's not the sort of comfort they supply there.

You must be asking which door is the true one; not which pleases you best

The door on which we have been knocking all our lives will open at last.

When you are happy, so happy you have no sense of needing Him, so happy that you are tempted to feel His claims upon you as an interruption, if you remember yourself and turn to Him with gratitude and praise, you will be — or so it feels— welcomed with open arms. But go to Him when your need is desperate, when all other help is vain, and what do you find? A door slammed in your face, and a sound of bolting and double bolting on the inside. After that, silence.

The doors of hell are locked from the inside!

Obedience is the key that opens every door.

Death opens a door out of a little, dark room (that's all the life we have known before it) into a great, real place where the true sun shines and we shall meet.
