When you suffer for things that are yet to happen, you suffer only in your imagination.

By wanting the things that you don’t have, in order to be happy, you are not trying to end the suffering you have, you are simply trying to rationalize it. When you have those things, you will realize your suffering did not end. Only the reasons for it have changed.

Unless you learn your lesson, it will keep hurting. Not only it will never stop, it will also keep increasing the amount, so you won’t get used to it.

For some reason, there is this façade that life should be full of happiness and without its suffering. Which, actually makes us suffer even more. Because when we get sad or something bad happens, we do not only feel bad about the thing itself but we also feel bad because our life is not the way it is supposed to be. Not realizing suffering and sadness is just a part of life and they are inevitable.

If you worry because bad things might happen, you suffer from the things that are yet to happen. If they don’t happen, it means you suffered for nothing and if they do happen, it means you suffered for nothing again

When something happens and it causes us pain, the pain is there to teach us a lesson. It is not so that we feel pain for the sake of pain.
