I never understood why people looked at loving someone of the same sex as a crime. I can’t help but think, what crime did I commit? Love? I cannot help who I love….

I love the color black is because my roots run deep, and my core is strong.

If you do not remember anything else, I could be telling you wrong, but always put yourself and your needs first. Never put someone else before you—it might be selfish, but I learned when I put other people's needs before mine. I was the one who got burned. I lost my way, and I was the only one traveling an unknown road alone. I gave so much of myself and my all to be only left with nothing.

The difficult road I took alone—I kept walking, and most importantly, I kept turning the pages, and it landed me here.

Somehow I made it possible to see the reflection of footprints from just the right amount of light. I manage to see the reflection of the waves and the stars in the sky. It was delightful and humbling to the soul. It was like I was a person who was walking in someone else’s shadow—however, I pulled away and took a chance on life.

Words hurt and cause a lot of damage. Sometimes, there’s no coming back from that. It changes everything. It changes the people who love you. It changes people's relationships. Bad choices of words turn your life upside down. Sometimes there’s no coming back from what has been done.
