We'd like to see if we can get to an agreement, and we're not there yet. No one is quite ready to say we can't get there.

Whether this agreement helps solve this will depend in large measure on what we do in the days and weeks that follow.

We are not aware of whether at the end we will have an agreement or disagreement. We still don't know,

We're not prepared to make a separate agreement for them to freeze programs. We don't want to get into a situation where they stop the programs - in short, freeze the programs, and then expect us to compensate them for a freeze.

If we can get an agreement at the end of August, quickly thereafter in September we will move to the next stage ...the so-called fifth round of the six-party talks we would anticipate starting at very early fall.

So the question is why are they standing aside, losing so much money from only the energy agreement ... they have to answer that question.

This is first time they have committed to completely dismantle their weapons in an international agreement. They cannot just stall and pretend it does not exist. I think they have gotten the message.

It is a good agreement for all of us.

I think the Chinese draft is an excellent basis for reaching an agreement.
