Denial is the escape that never allows us to escape.

Blame is the coward’s solution to his fear of accountability.

More often than not, to blame someone else is to play ‘hot potato’ with something that’s neither hot nor a potato.

To blame my failures on the lack of resources is less about the lack of resources and more about my unwillingness to access those resources.

The reason placing blame repeatedly fails to work is that I repeatedly place it on everyone else instead of where it actually belongs.

Has it not ‘dawned’ on us that many of the things that we incessantly blame others for are actually things that our actions originally set in motion? Or, are we too weak to experience a ‘dawning’ of that sort?

Oh yes, I am frequently driven to an enraged frenzy by the blatantly crass actions of others. But to be painfully honest, that anger is much less driven by the reality of their actions and far more fueled by the realization that everything I am is everything that I hate in them.

I think that the most politically correct finger-pointing that anyone can ever do is to finger-point while standing in front of a really big mirror.

The question of the fearful person is “who did it?” The question of the courageous person is “did I have a part in it?” The former is something of a witch-hunt. The latter is a hunt for a solution.
