To grasp love, I must grasp the fact that it is a creation of God and therefore it is forever beyond me. But the very fact that it is forever beyond me is the very thing that prompts me to forever pursue it.

I would guess that somewhere around ninety percent of the stuff that we refer to as love is what we ‘want’ love to be, but not what we ‘need’ love to be.

Love is the thing that keeps everything else exactly where it needs to be. And so, if I’m out of whack, I’m probably out of love.

The romantic within us is a harbinger of our deepest desires.

Love other people first, and you will have loved yourself best.

God will always want me more than I will want Him. And it seems quite reasonable to me that the greatest way that I can expend my life is to work on closing that gap.

Yes, there are times when the world turns upside down, logic becomes subject to the muse of reckless interpretation, truth becomes the bed-child of selfish goals, and people are off on a wild course that bludgeons everyone they once loved or anyone who gets in the way of what they now purport to love.

The true indicator that I love myself is that I choose to love others above myself.

Love might be wounded by lesser things, but in the wounding it strengthens so that in time it has ample power to lovingly tame the lesser things and therefore handily transform the greater things.
