Of necessity, our imagination must embrace the dark reality of ‘what is’ as a precursor to ‘what could be.’ For then and only then will we see in the darkness of today the certain light of tomorrow.

Where am I today?” I ask. Probably exactly where my attitude put me. “Where will I be tomorrow?” I ask. Same place, same answer.

Today is the one place where the lessons of a painful yesterday are drawn together to shape the face of a different tomorrow. And the phenomenal thing about all of that is that today happens seven days a week.

Today is the fodder of tomorrow’s dreams, so we’d be wise to invest in today so that we don’t show up with empty hands tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s successes are evidence of yesterday’s dreams that have been wrestled alive by today’s sacrifices.

The garden is the place where the work of yesterday births the fruit of today which contains the seeds of tomorrow.

The main thing that can make my tomorrow as dark as my today is my attitude. Fate (if there is such a thing) falls a far second to that.

It’s not the day that matters, it’s our attitude about the day. For with the right attitude every day stands ready to be what the day before it was not.

Incessantly demanding that I am given some ‘thing’ today may very well destroy the role that it was going to play in my life tomorrow.
