At the point that Jesus shows up in the storm, He and I become the storm.

Victory is not based on the nature of any outcome, but on the fact that one stood by their values even in the face of the most devastating outcomes.

The victory was sealed at an empty tomb. Therefore, we must remember that the remaining battles are victory concluding, not victory in question.

For a Christian, the battle is nothing more than the process of concluding the victory.

I don’t know if you’ve ever thought about this before, but if death is beaten, so is everything else. And because God set His sights on beating death, we can build our lives on achieving anything.

Aligning with God is the only surrender that is followed by a perpetual victory.

When I surrender to God all of the things in my life that I have surrendered to, I have surrendered to ever having to surrender again.

Tell me it can’t be done and I’m likely to take a shot at it. And that’s not based on arrogance or some inflated sense of grandiose superiority. Rather, it’s based on a God Who says that the impossible is nothing more than surrender in disguise and defeat that was a victory on the way before I got in the way.

The battle didn’t just happen to happen. Rather, God invited us to the battle so that we could be left utterly breathless at the miraculous way that He won it. And once we witness that kind of victory, our need to fight anything is replaced by His ability to win everything.
