To imagine oneself playing a role in an epic story is exhilarating, but to actually step into an epic story is terrifying. And the problem is that imagination might be safe, but being safe doesn’t write any stories worth reading.

It is in boldly unleashing our faith that we effectively leash our fears.

Quite often ‘wishing upon a star’ is a response to a dream that I’ve surrendered to a wish because it was bigger than me, instead of being a dream that has surrender to my wishes because God was bigger than it.

There is a point to which we alone can take ourselves. And while we think that to be the pinnacle of our existence, with God it is the point of departure for our existence.

I’m not looking for a road to walk. Rather, I’m looking for a path to create. For creating a path shapes men, while walking a road simply appeases them.

The only reason I can’t jump in and engage life is that I’ve told myself I can’t. Yet I can’t helping wondering would happen if I told myself I could?

The restless adventurer within me stands eye-to-eye with the fear that has stepped directly in my path. And the thing I absolutely must not do is to blink first.

If I’m conceited enough to believe I’m invincible, then maybe it will take me doing the very thing I swore I would never do to understand that I’m not as wonderful as I thought I was.

What pensive people define as ‘lost’ is what bolder people define as ‘adventure’. The former remains huddled in their constricted boxes, while the latter tread the crest of horizons.
