With God, brokenness is nothing more than the stage upon which the impossible is about to happen.

With God, my brokenness is nothing more than the platform from which He can demonstrate why He is God.

To be broken means that the best of my resources lay shattered and strewn about. And it is then and only then that I am at my peak, for it is at these times that there is less of me to get in the way of all of God.

I would much prefer to be broken than to live out the entirety of my life never having known what it’s like to be healed.

Sometimes what is said to be a gift may appear more of a curse only because the greatest gifts of all are the gifts that have enough disruptive force to break us out of everything that’s breaking us. And God loves us far too much not to give us exactly those kinds of gifts.

God is able to fix that which is broken so that what stands repaired is immeasurably greater than that which stood before it needed repair. Therefore, the most staggering brokenness conceivable is in reality the greatest opportunity imaginable.

Most promises were broken before they were made.

If I see brokenness only as brokenness, I will have broken the opportunity in my brokenness. And that is the greatest brokenness of all.

It is not a matter of being broken, even though I am in fact quite shattered. It is understanding that my capacity to be fixed always exceeds the extent to which I’m broken.
