The greatest cause involves the decision not to make myself the greatest cause.

Take a stand, for if you don’t you will have spent your life sitting.

The cause for which I stand is the reconciliation of mankind with God. For if that cause is accomplished, all causes are accomplished.

A ‘cause’ that serves our purpose is, in reality, an ‘agenda’ that we’ve attempted to make noble by dressing it up in the finery of a cause. But as my Dad used to say, 'you can’t put perfume on a pig.

A cause is a stance to right the atrocities perpetrated upon others, which is far different than a fad to elevate the status of others. And maybe the ‘cause’ that we should all take up is to confront the plague of fads.

Where an attitude of thankfulness is not, greed takes root. And that root will only fall to the axe of thankfulness. Therefore, we need to hold both the attitude and the axe ever close so that the roots never are.

A cause that only serves me is much like a door on the edge of a cliff, it doesn’t open to anywhere good.

I can be equipped for a cause or I can be committed to one. The former might win the battle, but the latter will win the war.
