If those who cause destruction have come to be ‘newsworthy’, and those who heal the devastation of that destruction have come to be less than ‘noteworthy’, has our thirst to be entertained become the truly destructive thing?

Will we choose to be the ‘pieces’ that our sin has blown us into? Or will we turn to the God who can pick up each one and gently assemble them into the ‘whole’ that we’ve never known simply because it’s a ‘whole’ that He has never forgotten?

If I have not been both soothed by love and on the opposite extreme left devastated by it, I will never understand its power nor respect its majesty.

I don’t care’ is code for ‘I do care.’ But to deny the code is in fact ‘code’ for ‘I don’t want to be hurt.’ And in life, no amount of ‘coding’ is going to keep that from happening.
