True wealth are those things that I can’t put a dollar figure on. And one of those things is the part of me that I leave with the whole of you.

It’s not the image of standing on my principles that I want my children to remember. Rather, it’s understanding that being on my knees was the single thing that allowed me to stand on those principles.

Someone, someday will ask who I was. And someone, someday will answer by saying, “Well, look at what he did”. And what I hope I ‘did’ was to leave behind a really good answer.

The only portfolio that matters is the one that I leave in people’s hearts.

Destiny suggests that the effect of our life is to exceed the length of our life. Therefore, today never ends with today.

When it’s all said and done, everything that we’ve ‘said’ should have been ‘done’ in the life of another. And I would suggest that this is legacy. And I would further suggest that anything other than that is simply memory that we will soon forget.

Legacy is not what will be left of us once we’ve gone through our life. It’s what’s left of us that’s left standing once life’s gone through our life.

As I live out my life, I would be wise to remember that the size of my shoe does not dictate the depth of my print.
