Abundant living is realizing that life is a privilege whether it’s adhering to our scripts or not.

Realizing that ‘possession’ is an illusion finally liberates us to possess something that is never an illusion and is always liberating; and that is the reality that we are God’s cherished possession. Therefore, life is not about acquiring possessions. Rather, it’s about being one.

I think that the real magic in life is that we possess enough imagination to be able to create a bit of it.

Pain says that if we’re alive enough to feel pain, we’re alive enough to feel joy. It’s just a question of whether we believe that there’s space for both.

It was when the sun gently slipped off the backside of the horizon and slowly drew the light of the day in it’s train that everything went quiet. And before the assorted choruses of crickets and spring peepers rose to greet the night, nature nodded at a day well done. And regardless of whether my day had come with rain or sunshine, I find few things as healing as lifting my soul above my circumstances and bringing the day to a close by nodding at a day well done.

It is the length of the journey that ripens the joy of the outcome.

True peace cannot be found in a ‘place’. Rather, it is found in a Person who can be with you in any ‘place’.

If I can draw the slightest smile across a single face obliterated by pain, in that act I will have begun to understand the power of an ordinary human being to perform the seemingly impossible in the life of another human being. And how can that experience do anything less than drive me to try and make the world smile.

We have a choice. We can be jaded by what we’ve lost, or joyous over what that thing had accomplished while we had it.
