When the exercise of my freedom results in my destruction or the destruction of those around me, what I’ve exercised is the freedom to be selfish. And if such an exercise of freedom leads to my destruction, I should be quick to realize the frightening similarities between selfishness and stupidity.

Of necessity, indoctrination must legitimize itself by dressing itself in the garb of ‘education’ lest we discover that we are being robbed of our ability to think independently by being led to believe that we are thinking independently.

Evil plays on our fears. But when it comes to fighting evil, God never plays.

It is, I think, a far lesser offense to blatantly ignore God’s directions for our lives rather than arrogantly think ourselves shrewd enough to be able to bend them to our liking without breaking them and therefore breaking ourselves.

The problem that I think I have with God is often not a problem at all. Rather, it is most frequently a tired misperception where I have made God what I need Him to be in order to justify my rejection of Him.

I would much rather ‘build up’ your faith than ‘play on’ your fears.

When someone tells you that there is no agenda, you can be certain there is nothing but an agenda.

Indoctrination is the dubious art of leading an individual to become convinced that some conviction arose from deep within the core of their being, when in fact it was subtly implanted from some place far outside of the core of anything except the greed of the one who planted it.

If our commitment to an agenda is so passionate that we will rewrite the history that does not support it, we have become a blind slave to a rogue agenda that will destroy us in the service of it.
