Most of the things we deem as impossible are only impossible because we’ve given them permission to be impossible.

Are the disjointed efforts of opinions, biases, cultural mandates, politically-correct notions, and all things vogue and trendy an effort to write ourselves sweeping permission to justify sweeping behaviors that will in time sweep us away?

Despite the difficulties, I haven’t given up on the world because God hasn’t given me permission to do that.

To give a gift, we think that someone must receive it. But possibly the greatest gift is granting the recipient permission to reject it, for then we have freed that gift of every agenda that would render it as less than a gift.

We work hard to believe that our actions really don’t affect others all that much because we want the license to act without thinking all that much.

If you’ve yet to find your purpose, maybe it’s not that you don’t have one. Rather, maybe it’s that you haven’t given it permission to find you. And you might ask, is there any legitimate purpose in that?

Pain is nothing but growth waiting for us to give it permission to grow us up.

Underneath the chaos there stirs a great plan. And it will be birthed only if I give it permission to do so because I have exercised the faith that it’s there.

Expectations are the shackles that will not permit something to be what it actually is.
