If our commitment to an agenda is so passionate that we will rewrite the history that does not support it, we have become a blind slave to a rogue agenda that will destroy us in the service of it.

I am thankful that I can be thankful, for if thankfulness did not exist my heart would be irretrievably imprisoned by the crazed twins of acquisition and possession, and my soul would exist as a forever slave to greed.

Although it would lead me to believe otherwise, fear has little interest in intimidating me. Rather, it much prefers to enslave me.

If I’m a slave to thankfulness I will never to be a slave to that which I’m thankful for. And the fact of the matter is that slavery to thankfulness is freedom from everything else.
