Strength other than that received from God is just hype manufactured by men.

We have cast surrender as weak. However, if surrender to God makes us everything we could never be on our own, then weakness would, in fact, be the unwillingness to surrender.

I would wonder if the essence of strength lays in the power of passion.

To be broken means that the best of my resources lay shattered and strewn about. And it is then and only then that I am at my peak, for it is at these times that there is less of me to get in the way of all of God.

To be strong I must first admit that I am weak. And that requires some of the greatest strength imaginable.

I have both the violent turbulence of the storm and the quiet promises of God in the storm. And what I must work to remember is that something is not necessarily stronger simply because it’s louder.

I will either adamantly prioritize my agendas at the expense of the truth, or I will consistently bring my agendas into unrelenting obedience to the truth. And if for some reason you’re trying to determine who I truly am, the choice I make will tell you.

To admit that I am weak is the exercise of strength.

It is in the act of admitting our weaknesses that we are showing our strength.
