Freedom is not permission to be stupid, for the exercise of ‘stupid’ as a ‘right’ is certain to destroy the very freedom that stupidly used to be stupid. And that’s about as stupid as stupid gets.

A compass calibrated by my greed is a rather shrewd way to legitimize my agenda. However, true north on a compass such as this is a straight line to the edge of a really big cliff.

Be careful that the decisions that you ‘make’ are not forging the chains that you cannot ‘unmake’ because those are the chains that will eventually ‘unmake’ you.

If as an adult I have scolded and then silenced the child within me, I contend that I am neither an adult nor a child. Rather, I am just plain ignorant.

To be my own god is to spend my life pretending that I am what I am not. But how do I pretend that such pretending isn’t destroying my life?

To label myself is similar to thinking that I can come up with a single phrase to explain the universe.

I’m not so arrogant as to somehow think that I’m God, but sometimes I find myself acting like I’m a little ‘god’. The fact is, if I try to be either of these I will be neither of these nor anything else of much value.

Ignorance is bliss' only if you're ignorant enough to believe that that's where bliss comes from.
