If I’ve not determined a target for my life, then I have neither target nor bullseye. And maybe I’ve not determined a target because the bullseye is not to have one.

Too often my ‘target’ is whatever happens to have wandered in front of me instead of being something that I have intentionally put myself in front of.

My decisions determine my destination long before I ever get there. And once I do get there, I suddenly realize this is not the destination I had in mind because what I had in mind was the fantasy that my denial had created verses the reality my choices crafted.

Although I regularly convince myself otherwise, because I aim at something doesn’t necessarily mean I have a target.
