Sometimes in life we need to sit with things for a minute, maybe on the fringe of things, not only to savor the wealth of the moment, but take a moment to figure out how to respectfully engage it.

It’s not that I’ve been invited to the hole I’m standing in. It’s that I accepted the invitation.

It’s thinking that I had the solution that probably created the problem in the first place.

Ignorance is not bliss. Rather, ignorance is blistering.

In reality, how far can I run from that which I fear if that which I fear is based on that which I think? With that said, maybe it’s more about running ‘from’ the way I currently think and running ‘to’ the way I should think.

If I don’t learn how to think, then I don’t think I’ll ever learn.

Ask the questions even if you don’t want the answers. For the answers that we don’t want are often the very things that keep us from doing what we shouldn’t be doing.

Too often contemplation is the excuse for inaction.

At one time or another someone said to us, ‘What were you thinking?’ And often it’s not that we weren’t thinking. Rather, it was that we were thinking that thinking would get in the way of what we wanted, so we were thinking that it would be better not to think. And I think that all of that is thinking.
