My definition of success is not based on achieving the impossible, but rather surviving the probable. And with a threshold that horribly low, simple survival cannot help but become my highest aspiration.

If your dream doesn't scare you, it's not big enough.

Sometimes it doesn’t look like the right road because it was just a road to the next road.

There is always some sort of call rolling in from distant horizons, heralding something afoot. And these calls are not the things of culture or podiums or platforms, for the calls of distant horizons are far too grand to be held captive to such menial things. Rather, they are the calls of God and life and things majestic beyond imagination.

The songs of the birds are the ballad of the forest. And while we still might have the forest without the songs, we would have lost the story. Therefore, at the point that we lose our song we have likewise lost our story.

You have a God. You have a mind. You have a will. And somewhere you have a passion. And if you have enough faith to believe in the first and exercise the rest, you can achieve the impossible.

What's the purpose in all of this if there's not a purpose in all of this?

My passion always runs ahead of my abilities. But in the process of keeping a close second, my abilities get a great workout.

What determines my journey is being honest about where I am, being brave enough to define where I want to go, and then making the commitment to live in neither.
