An end is only an end because we haven’t taken the time to find the door in the wall.

A ‘victor’ is a ‘victim’ who decided to do something about the thing that victimized them other than complain about it.

The tomorrow in my mind is often what I wish today would have been had I not been held hostage to the fears that my yesterday left me with.

Nearly completed in each instance, the wind blew the robin’s nest out of the aspen tree four times in a row. And I greatly admired the fact that in the face of such frustrating misfortune the robin’s rebuilt their nest those four times, when we as humans probably wouldn’t have done it but once or twice. Or maybe less.

It’s not that geese can fly. It’s that they choose to.

It might be said of me that I could have done it differently or that there was a better way or that I should have waited when I didn’t. But what cannot be said of me is that I didn’t try. And without question, I would rather have tried and blundered in every attempt than not have tried to make any attempt.

Sometimes I wonder if the cost of my dream is less about the efforts to achieve it and more about disappointment I’ll experience if it doesn’t happen. But then I remember that the nature of a dream is such that it is worth dreaming even if it never comes true.

A large part of the battle is not wanting to fight it, for if that were not the case we might be fighting something but it would not be a battle.

Intent without action will leave every word that I use to describe my intent as empty and best never said.
