The purpose of my purpose is not to destroy my purpose, although we can be rather purposeful in doing exactly that.

Waiting for a journey is not a journey, even though we are quite adept at confusing the two.

I can confidently say that I’m not where I was yesterday. But if I don’t have a clear goal, where I am today is likely an extension of the same ditch.

I do not walk into the storm unless I have been called into the storm. For the former is arrogance and the latter is obedience.

We can choose to go wherever the winds of life happen to blow us, or we can intentionally chart a course that will blow us away. And as I ponder that thought, I realize that there are very few decisions in life whose destinations are so frighteningly opposite.

Sometimes things call out to us and we know them with total certainty. Yet, the certainty eludes us and we’re left with the angst of the unknown regarding something that, in fact, we know.

Sometimes a journey forced is a journey wrecked.

If the first step doesn’t happen, neither does the journey.

While our roads might be markedly different, the fact that we are both walking a road intimately unites us. And if we each dare to step onto each other’s road for even a moment, we can profoundly enhance the journey for both of us. And so, might I invite you over.
