Was the challenge truly impossible, or was that in fact a product of my attitude? And if I had to make something impossible, the odds are that it wasn’t and it is not.

With God, the impossible is not an obstacle but an invitation.

Whatever stands in front of you was only allowed to be put there because inherent within you there lays the ability to climb it. Therefore, the real difficulty of an ascent such as this is not the nature of the mountain that stands in front of us, but the nature of the attitude that lays within us.

The real challenge is not what stands before us. Rather, it’s in believing what resides within us.

The restless adventurer within me stands eye-to-eye with the fear that has stepped directly in my path. And the thing I absolutely must not do is to blink first.

Of course I fear the journey. For if I didn’t, I’d be left with the horribly disappointing sense that it was never big enough. And if there’s something I should fear, that would be it.

If we were willing to take the trial in our hands and peel back the pain, underneath the layers we would find unimagined opportunity. So maybe we should practice peeling.

As for any of us in crisis, hope is the one thing that’s everything.
