To embrace the magnitude of our destiny, we must at times question its existence in order to become convinced of its presence.

When I find that stubbornness continually overrides common sense regardless of the logic of my argument, it seems that the only effective solution is to tell them to go ahead and stick their finger in the socket. And what I find is that what my argument failed to solve, electricity does quite nicely.

We need to assess the risk not just to assess the risk, but to determine if there is any risk at all. For if there is none, we might have an idea but we don’t have a dream.

Could it be that questioning the existence of our purpose is in fact part of the process within which we become convinced that we have one?

If I let that which I hold to be true fall victim to a world that says it is not, I have in that action surrendered to the voices of those who know nothing of the truth other than to destroy it because it terrifies them. And if there’s one thing I should be terrified of it’s not the surrender itself, but the fact that in the surrender I have given the world permission to avoid the very thing that it should fear.

Bravery is born of a conviction so deep that not to act is not to live.

Too often I’ve decided not to decide for fear that deciding might be a bad decision. But that decision is based on the rant of fear verses the whisper of wisdom.

If I am sufficiently brave to extract the cancer of fear, I have effectively gutted my conviction that what stands before me is impossible.
