A father teaches his children that the battle is not determined by the enemy that stands around them, but by the God Who stands within them. And that lesson can only be driven home as they watch their father stand around them, while God stands within their father.

I can tell you who I am, but I’d rather have you watch who I am.

Legacy is what’s left standing once you aren’t.

Who are you sending into the future and how are you sending them? For this is the stuff of legacy that we tend to forget until long after we’ve sent them.

You will live in the future as an extension of the lives that you have touched. Therefore, you may wish to consider how you’re touching people.

We must never forget that everything that we do pens yet another line on the pages of the lives who are watching us. And once those lines are penned, there’s no eraser with which to remove that which we wrote. Therefore, take time to pray before you pick up the pen.

If I’m surprised at where I’m at, it’s probably because I’m not listening to the reality that listening to the voices that I’ve listened to have put me here. So, maybe I should be less surprised and more disappointed.

Don’t say it if you’re not going to live it. And if you’re going to live it, you don’t have to say it anyway.

Hold your tongue and live your life, for it is in the way that you live that you speak the loudest.
