We have yet to understand that a loss never remains a loss, for life is too ingenious in design and persistent in intent to let any death be the end of any story.

My limitations are not where I end. They just inform me as to where God begins.

At the point that I have rigorously pressed out and reached the end of myself, I have in fact not even broached the place where God is about to begin. Therefore, a conclusion in my mind is barely a point of departure in God’s.

An ending is the result of something that was once a beginning. And a beginning is the result of something that was once an ending. And one without the other means that neither are possible, but both in combination means that just about anything is possible.

Without an ending there would be no beginning. And if I can’t imagine a life without beginnings, I can’t live without endings.

By far, an ending is the most direct path to a beginning.

Grieving is accepting what I’ve just lost so I don’t lose what I’m about to gain.

It’s never over. At worst, it’s just paused for a moment.

The priceless lesson in the New Year is that endings birth beginnings and beginnings birth endings. And in this elegantly choreographed dance of life, neither ever find an end in the other.
