To forget is to blithely toss aside the hard lessons that were hard won by others before us, thereby needlessly dooming us to endure the hard lessons that are likely to be forgotten by those who will follow us. And it is altogether reasonable that in order to avoid this repetitive trouncing, God graciously granted us memories.

Failure holds the information that unleashes the opportunity that is standing at our doorstep.

I would rather make the wrong decision and correct it, rather than make no decision which leaves me nothing to correct.

The greatest lessons I have ever learned happened at the times where I kept my mouth shut and my ears open. The problem is, I have great difficulty keeping those in the right order.

The question is not how many years I’ve lived. The question is how I lived those many years.

It would do me well to realize that the path that has led me to where I am was mapped by those who taught me and paved by what they taught me. Therefore, if God is not my teacher and His truth is not my topic I will find myself where I don’t want to be, having trod a path I didn’t want to take.

It’s the belief that tomorrow can be better than today because today holds the lessons for a better tomorrow, as well as the tools to use them.

I think that we should be less focused on the crisis and more focused on what we can learn from the crisis. For the biggest crisis of all is the crisis of repeating the crisis.

The only time that pain is not opportunity is when we won’t let it be. But even then, it is opportunity even though we have rendered it opportunity missed.
