Contemplation that never leads to anything other than contemplation is contemplation that we’ve dressed up in the garb of progress so that we can tell ourselves that we’re doing something productive when in fact we’re contemplating how we can avoid doing anything.

I have no interest in being safe. I do however, have every interest in being wise. The former is averse to going forward, while the latter is averse to anything but going forward.

The darkness makes everything disappear but it makes nothing go away.

The fear within me is not the enemy. Rather, the enemy within me is the cowardice that refuses to face the fear.
