The 'goal' is the journey done well.

She’s gone,” I say over and over. And with her went the dreams that made my life worth the living. Yet, God is the crafter of new dreams that render old dreams so small that the pain of them is swallowed up in the promise of tomorrow.

Probably more than anything, our priorities tell us how much of a priority we’ve placed upon thinking about what our priorities should be before we decided that they should be our priorities. And for many of us, it’s rather apparent that our priority was anything but thinking.

It is the aversion to fear that kills the greatest of dreams. And until the aversion to the death of our dreams outpaces the fears that kill them, what we could achieve will only be a dream.

Real treasure is not about what we found. Rather, it’s about the fact that we finally found it.

Sometimes answering the question of where we’re at in life is best approached by asking where we’re not, because there’s a good chance that that’s where we had original intended to be.

What is an adventure, I might ask? And in the asking, I might begin to understand that my adventures are sorely limited to the confines of my lackluster imagination. Therefore, an adventure of the most robust and wild sort must be constructed by an unlimited imagination. And unless I am mistaken, only God has an imagination like that.

If you dreamt it, it was worth your time to dream it. If it was worth your time to dream it, then it’s worth your life to build it. And if it’s worth your life to build it, build more than one.

The exhaustion of the climb evidences the fact that we’re climbing. Therefore, I don’t ever wish to be exhausted by being exhausted.
